Another customer had the same issue and was told to try code 4, which is for units built prior to 1996 with a green button. Bottom line is I was waiting for a return authorization on the keypad but decided to read more reviews to see if I had missed a solution. I was leaning toward buying a new control board for the opener as this seemed to be the problem but was hesitant in spending $90 for a board that I wasn't sure I needed. I then figured I would start from scratch by erasing all codes (hold the smart button for 6 seconds), I was now able to program the keypad but now the car unit wouldn't program! OK, so I know they both work individually but why can't I program multiple units? I called Chamb erlain for assistance but only got a recap of what I already knew. ![]() Wrong! After numerous attempts (without success) I tried 02, again no luck. My unit has the Red/Orange button and code 2 is what is SUPPOSED to be the correct one. This is where the NIGHTMARE begins! I followed Chamberlain's instructions to program the keypad and used code 2 as per instructions. ![]() I wanted the same convenience for the other door which is where my lawn equipment is, so I bought a second unit. I recently bought a house the has 2 Lift-Master ATS211R openers, one of which has a KLICK2U-P2 keypad installed. You can also mount the keyless entry on a small piece of wood.Good Product - Programming Instructions Suck! If the keyless entry works, add rubber grommets between the keyless entry and the mounting surface. Remove the keyless entry from the mounting surface and test the keyless entry. The surface the keyless entry is mounted on is causing interference The surface the keyless entry is mounted to may be interfering with the signal. Clear the memory and program the keyless entry. Either use the different PIN or replace the keyless entry.Ī temporary PIN has expired: A temporary PIN will no longer open the door once it expires, however, it can still be used to close the door. If it works, one of the numbers in the old PIN may have stopped functioning. Try to program a completely different PIN. Issue with a button on the keypad On a keyless entry, it is possible a button on the keypad is not working. Keep in mind, you will need to program any remotes that are currently programmed to your opener.
